Samuel has been training at DM for 3 years, growing into a gifted Wilderness Instructor. Having graduated from Ozark Christian College, he adds a Wilderness First Responder to our staff and brings considerable experience to our team. He was first introduced to DM through the Wilderness Challenge 10-day expedition and has continued to stretch himself through other events, such as the Staff & Friends Climb and Whitewater Seminar. Samuel is eager to learn and be challenged as he challenges others to overcome in the face of adversity.
FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR
Having grown up at Discovery Ministries, Julie has played many roles at the camp over the years. She is the wife of the Director and the mother of 4 wonderful children! She spends much of her time overseeing River of Life Christian School in their home and helping to serve others in the community of Eminence. We are thankful to have her filling in for us in food service currently.
Briar was raised in New Orleans as a missionary kid. His family moved there in response to Hurricane Katrina and worked with Crossroads Missions in the rebuilding process. He first encountered DM as a teenager on a challenge expedition with his youth group. After completing a four-year degree program with Louisiana Bible College, he has returned to DM as an Intern. Briar is excited to take part in how God is working here!
Emma is a delightful addition to our summer staff. Her diligence and willingness to serve through cleaning and being a utility player has been helpful. Having grown up at Discovery Ministries (she is the Director's daughter), she brings a unique perspective of the ministry that occurs.
WEB AND GRAPHIC DESIGN
Sarah Beth has been connected to and serving the camp in some capacity since her first summer as an intern in 2011. Her current role is dedicated to the creative design efforts of our website and print mailings. She works remotely from her hometown in Kansas, keeping in touch with the staff on a weekly basis and venturing to the camp as often as her husband and two young daughters can stand!
